Thick pine trees in and around the temple surround it, making the layout of the temple beautiful. It shows the most beautiful scenery with its autumn-tinted trees in the fall. On the premises, is Birojeon Hall, where a thousand baby Buddha images are enshrined. Samyeonggak shrine enshrines the portrait of the Great Priest Samyeong.

Mungyeong-saejae Pass
Mungyeong-saejae is said to mean a steep pass even birds hardly fly over. It  was a transportation center linking the central area(old Seoul) and southern Yeong-nam area of the nation. It was a strategic point as well thanks to its precipitous geographical features. The pass was used until 1925 when a new highway was constructed. Nearby is a famous TV drama set, "King Taejo Wang-Geon".
