San # 21-3, Jimyo-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu

The troops of Gyeonhwon of Hubaekje and the forces of Wanggeon of Goryeo encountered each other passing Napalgogae Pass in 927. At that time, the forces of Goryeo was defeated utterly by Gyeonhwon and they were in an extremely precarious position.
General Sunggyeom Shin wore a royal robe to save the king and tricked enemy¡¯s eye by camouflaging himself as Wanggeon.
Using this chance, Wanggeon could escape to the mountain in the north of Jimyo 1-dong and saved his life. For this reason, this mountain has been called as Wangsan.
In front of Wangsan, the General Sunggyeom Shin ¡®s relics who died on behalf of Wanggeon exist at present.
