Napalgogae Pass (The origin of a name of place)

Around # 840, Jimyo-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu

In 927 when Shilla dynasty asked for Reinforcements to King Taejo, Wanggeon of Goryeo, Wanggeon brought 50,000 cavalrymen but was defeated in every battle. And the last place surrounded by the enemy was Jimyo-dong. There were two stories behind the legend; One is that it became Napalgogae Pass since a bugle was blown to compress the encircling net by the solders of Gyeonhwon centering on Jimyo and the other is that it became Napalgogae Pass since a bugle was blown to raise the morale of the soldiers of Wanggeon while marching 6 km under pressure from Mutae
It is popularly known as Nabalgogae Pass.
